So not restos as such. Some places have even shut their loos and showers .. to the despair of the drivers of poids-lourds.
Judith-aka-Judith
When I popped into one on my way back from Toulouse last week, for the loo, as Sue said, takeaway food available .. I even saw a bigger selection of salads and sandwiches thatn usual, and the coffee machines are working .. so no sit down meals, but no need to starve either. alittlebitfrench
If you are driving through Tours (for example) come off at the town centre exit and head for 'Les Atlantes' commecrcial centre. 3 mins max. What I am saying is, you are not confined to service stations. Just plan a stategic stop just off the motorway. Then you can have a pee, some nice food and cheap pertol.. I would not put myself through a French motorway service station at any time of the year.
