Mayennaise
Does anyone know of a website that will enable me to find out the french names for all the birds that visit our garden. I can recognise and name most of them in English and those that I don't know I can look up in me trusty book - but I would like to know what they are called in french. The only ones I know for certain are: Merle (Blackbird) and Rouge Gorge (Robin) oh - and Pic (Woodpecker).

Cat
I sometimes use this one http://www.mumm.ac.be/~serge/birds/search_en.htmlYou can type in the bird name in English, and it will give you the names in several different languages, French included. chris pp
You can download this as a PDF and then it's easy to use the search, just type the name in English.http://planetepassion.com/LISTS/Bird%20list/Bird_list_Latin_French_English.pdfChris
