Frogslegs
Cycling back from Brioux sur boutonne near Melle I saw at first herons in the field, than what I thought may be egrets, stopped and stared....and I am sure they were a pair of storks! White with black wings and pink legs, not sure how long they will stay but a first for me in this neck of the woods.
chris pp
See them around from time to time, so it's not unusual where you saw them.[:D]Chris
Frederick
While on the subject of storks Chris ....I see that the same EDF pole outside La Tranche has been occupied again this year and they have again raised two chicks .....Last year the nest was removed I suspected by EDF but this year its rebuilt and I am pleased EDF have left it alone . Why that particular pole alongside a main road is so popular to storks I suppose we will never know .... but its home sweet home to them .
