Richardrawlings
I have noticed that several posters want easy books to read, myself included. There are two series of books called easy readers. These come in 4 grades A to D dependant on the number of words they use. They are abridged and simplified versions of classics like "Around the world in 80 days" and "Les Miserables"One is published by Hachette the other by European School Books. The web site for Hachett isHttp://www.fle.hachette-livre.frI got mine from Hephers in CambridgeRegardsRichard
Daytona
I agree Richard, they are excellent. I have just finished "le Compte de Monte Cristo" and have thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a foreign language bookshop in London, Grant & Cutler in Great Marlborough St. This was a tip from another forum and is well worth a visit ( I did not know it existed and have worked in London for 18 years !!)"readers" are a great way to enjoy learning French. It makes such a difference when you can actually read a story properly without having to look things up all the time. Well it works for me anyway.
