SaligoBay
These online translators are a laugh! I think Nigel Molesworth is behind them. The last thing I tried on an online translator was "laughing my ass off", which gets translated as "riant mon ane au loin"."Gare à tes fesses" (you'd better watch out) gets translated as "park has your buttocks".It all amuses my 10-year-old son hugely. I'll stick with BobCollins until things get better.
Mpprh
HiI thought I'd be clever and use an online translator from Google. My French friends think it is great - totally incomprehensible, but funny at the same time. The "home" page is translated as "à la maison". See how many howlers you can spot here : http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Ftlp.netfirms.com&langpair=en%7Cfr&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=off&prev=%2Flanguage_toolsIf you can't capture this URL go to this one & click on translate : http://tlp.netfirms.comPeter
Baz
I have to agree that the online translators are not too good, this can be checked by asking them to translate back to the original language. However, all said and done you might like to look at this translator which I think is the best of a bad lot.http://www.reverso.com/text_translation.aspBaz
