I've tried ringing other businesses in the area that I know are closed for the season but my French is not good enough to catch their message. Alors laissez-nous votre message après le bip sonor et nous vous rappellerons. Then if you expect English speaking clients to call, which no doubt youwill, leave a similar message in English afterwards.More importantly though, is to get a mobile phone and when you are outtransfer your calls from your fixed phone to your mobile. Many folkswill not leave a message when it comes to booking hotels, B&B'setc, not so bad with gîtes but people like to book instantly withinn type affairs and we only rresort to answer phones duringcertain spells in the year.By the way, as usual there is more than one way to skin a cat, so thiswill not be the only message you can leave but this one is short andsweet and gets quickly to the point and one that has served us well foryonks !
