cooperlola
I am pretty certain that "kit distribution" is the timing belt. Can anybody confirm that's correct? I have a bill from the garage and am 99% sure I got this right but... Thanks.
Bugsy
Coops, timing belt is 'courroie de distribution' so it probably is the cam belt or have they changed your distributor cap and/or plug leads, 'tete de distributor'.
cooperlola
Yup, cam belt sounds about right - it's the correct time re the mileage - and the cost is pretty much right.
derf
A kit de distribution is the timing belt plus the tensioners and rollers, a Timing belt kit in English.
cooperlola
Thanks all. The price was perfectly reasonable, but just wanted to check that I had got the part right and that I didn't need to worry about the timing belt for a few more thousand k's. We have to get used to running old cars now!
