Quillan
I cant find this word in even my big dictionary. The problem is compounded by the fact that MS Word dictionary says it's spelt wrong and wants to change it. The word is.:fermenticiblesWord wants to change it to.:fermentesciblesI think it is a composter or refers to composting but I am not sure. Thanks

Quillan
Many thanks for that. It makes the rest of the document clear.
Maricopa
I know Clair has already given a precise answer, but thought you might be interested to know that the word is listed in my Le Petit Larousse Illustré (a mighty tome that I thoroughly recommend). The word is Fermentescible (or Fermentable, either can be used), and means qui peut fermenter, confirming what Clair has already said.[:)]
