Ron Avery Posted November 15, 2007 Share Posted November 15, 2007 Rentrer can be to return/come home/ go back, so if you have been there before it is correct. There is of course La Rentrée which is the return to school/college. It means the return but is not normally used for saying to return except in this concept. At the risk of confusing Pads here, there are seven ways of saying return and it is a minefield for the French beginner, it depends on what or who is going back and to where and with whom.
