Gardengirl
My OH is busy doing his homework for tonight's class. He has to translate the phrase 'if only'. Neither of us can come up with it, & our dictionaries can't help. We'll really have to get one of the big thick sort! Can anyone help? Thanks, Jo
allanb
It may be simpler than it seems. My dictionary has an example : si seulement j'avais su! = if only I had known!
Meg
This is a good site and saves buying a bigger dictionary! Also gives phrases, sayings etc. (Type in 'only'!!)http://www.wordreference.com/enfr/
