krusty
I have had a bill from a debt collection agency for a courier service some time in the past year .They say the firm I bought the item off has gone bust , and even though I paid for the item plus delivery charge that it is now my responsibility as the person delivery was made too , to pay the charge under French law.Has anyone else had this happen to them ? cassis
Unless you arranged the delivery yourself, or there was something in the small print of the agreement with the company who provided the goods, then surely you have no contract with or liability to the courier company? Your contract was with the company providing the goods, which you paid. It runs against all common sense (and yes, I know this is France). [8-)]What if delivery had been offered free by the company providing the goods? Sorry, throwing that in is muddying the water - but do you see what I mean?
