allanb Posted August 8, 2008 Share Posted August 8, 2008 Quite a good way of finding words for household things is to keep a representative selection of all the catalogues, promotional offers, etc, that arrive with the weekly junk mail. Their great advantage is that they are usually illustrated. Words are tricky because they can have different meanings. You may be safer with a picture. What's more, you can cut it out and take it with you when you go shopping, and then you need only one French phrase: Vous avez des choses comme ça?
