Using Skype to learn French.

Has anybody used Skype to help them improve their language skills.

If anyone has, I would be interested to hear how you got on. Since my A level finished, I'm already feeling a bit rusty and need something to keep me active in listening and speaking. I wondered if this would be a good way to reinforce and consolidate what I've learnt.

Regards,

Thanks Wooly.

"face to face" I wouldn't wish my mug-shot on too many people. I thought hearing a native person would improve my listening skills which aren't too great. And, of course, speaking more to become more fluid.

It's plucking up the courage to do it.

Hi ErnieY,

I have recently joined Sharedtalk have already have a few penfriends, and one said she'd chat when she gets her voice back. I'm extremely nervous about doing this. I rarely talk in french now, I do listen to french on the tv or radio, but most of it is way over my head.

I'm going to have to take the plunge, otherwise I just won't move forward.

Regards
