Only recently, I told my French teacher that "je boire du petit lait" when I was the one in class explaining some grammatical point to the others and I was the "show-off".Then, now my poor OH is hors de combat (with a broken knee-cap), I told the class "j'ai du pain sur la planche"!Perhaps, I'll now achieve a bit of credibility?Nah, the scones I baked for the class weren't my best effort, but perhaps the knowledge of food idioms will redress the balance.
