BUTthat "something" could be to tell you some information. "Je lui ai demandé son adresse."According to my resident prof de francais what you can't do is "demander une question". Patf Posted February 15, 2009 Author Share Posted February 15, 2009 Thanks Albert - that has made it clearer.The first time I heard poser une question was when I was in hospital. My neighbour in the room was rather shy, but wanted to know when she would be discharged. So her son said to her very firmly, "pose une question....pose une question!" Where we would say "just ask!"
