nectarine
I want to lime-wash a wooden shed but wonder if I can obtain the product in France and don't know what it's called. In my dictionary there is a translation of 'chaux' but it doesn't specify whether this is the product I want.I've tried to Google this and got a product called 'badgeon' but wonder if this is whitewash instead. I'm getting baffled! Can anybody advise me please? any thanks
Alex H
Lime is 'chaux' and generally comes in 35kg sacks.Lime wash is 'chaux' + 'eau' - you can also add dyes to colour it.I'm not sure if you can buy small quantities of chaux - maybe someone else has............EDITJust found in an online dictionary.......... peinture à la chaux or blanchir à la chaux
