The ex-Mayor of Montpellier Georges Frêche was well loved for speaking like 'one of us'

In this video (which has subtitles in French if you find the accent difficult to catch) he explains his way of appealing to electors.

His was born ( and is now buried) in the Tarn, but worked  in the Languedoc.

His is an authentic accent, as opposed to some 'put on' by actors from the north.
