Hoddy
Last night I had an email to say that one of my neighbours in France has died. This morning I sent a formal condolence card to her husband. What I would like to do now is send a less formal reply to the email which was from her daughter-in-law and with whom I am very friendly terms.I would like to say something along the lines of 'I always had a soft spot for her because there was something about her which reminded me of my own mother'. I am afraid my French is just not good enough for that.I would appreciate some help.Hoddy
5-element
Hoddy, you could try this: "J'ai toujours eu un petit faible à son égard, car il y avait en elle quelque chose qui me rappelait ma propre mère"
