mint
What is this object called in French, please?Tried explaining to les filles after gym last night ...........described it, listed its functions but couldn't point it out as it wasn't overhead at the time.I was met with completely mystified looks and the conversation soon broke up.Clearly, it would have helped to have said it in French rather than in loud, slow English, repeated several times?[:-))]
woolybanana
Perhaps if you had told them it was made by Lacoste they might have understood!!
Chancer
Like most things in French they have reversed the order of the words although in this instance they still (are presumably forced to) refer to it as the ISS but in speech it is station spatiale international. mint
Merci, Chance. I might have got it if I'd stopped and thought but thinking is nowadays increasingly difficult!
