Nanna
With our business going pear shaped and a rather large loan with our French bank, we've been told that in order to protect our home from creditors we should have had what's known as a 'Declaration d'inaisisabilite' in place (hope I've spelt it right). That being the case, does anybody know if it can be done retrospectively? Thanks
Clair
No idea if this can be done at such a late stage. You must ask a notaire. Some details: http://www.apce.com/cid26826/protection-de-l-habitation-principale-des-entrepreneurs-individuels-art.-8.html (in Google English here)http://www.ccip93.ccip.fr/upload/pdf/creation/creation%20declaration%20insaisissabilite.pdf
Nanna
Thanks Clair - just love those Google translations!Next step then is a notaire to find out the retrospective part.
