nomoss Posted October 11, 2020 Author Share Posted October 11, 2020 I was actually just remarking on the French term for a walk-in testing station being a "drive péaton", i.e. a "pedestrian drive-in", which is as confused a term as "footing", which I first saw 30 or more years ago in Spain.I am always fascinated at the strange terms and metaphors people often use, in any language.Yesterday a BBC news presenter said that airline companies were having difficulties keeping afloat during the covid crisis.
