Laotze
Obviously personal emails in French are not a problem but I am terribly unsure of how to start and finish emails of a business nature. In English emails are much more informal than letters and I found that they were usually signed "Regards" or something along those lines. When responding to a business email in French I have followed what the originator has done but dithered quite a lot when originating an email myself. Does anyone have any useful guidelines? Miki
Most of our French business or reservations seem to end with:Sincres salutations and not the more formal longer endings. We have used that ending for a few years now by email.Miki
Helios
As Miki says, 'sincres salutations' is perfectly acceptable on all levels.
