Foxtrot
Did anyone see this programme last night (France3)? It was about English, Dutch and Americans settling in France, one year down the line. I saw the first programme last year and was fascinated by the follow-up. From the zany Brit who opened a bar in some tiny village, organises conker fights and other healthy pursuits to the Anglo-American couple who bought a house near Sarlat and were trying to renovate it, I didn't know if this was how the French see us or even whether it was caracature.I enjoyed the way it was done - but I don't know if it was really representative, any one else see it?Katie
Mistral
I recorded it (there was the football on TF1) and I'll try and watch it tonight. I missed the programme last year, so I hope they give a bit of background.

We were part of the zany Englishman's team which was thrashed by the French at boules. We were there last night for moules et frites, and afterwards there was a very hotly contested game of bar skittles. The French and Dutch join in and seem to thoroughly enjoy themselves. We are going to borrow a video of the programme.BunniePS Brother in law was French Conker Champion year before last!
