Paolo Posted November 12, 2004 Share Posted November 12, 2004 This is probably the wrong place to post this but I couldn't find a more obvious place.Can anyone tell me what the situation is with opening hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day - for shops and restaurants. Is everything shut or is it like England? Miki Posted November 12, 2004 Share Posted November 12, 2004 Paolo,Opening hours for Christmas Eve can mean a little earlier in closing for many of the supermarkets but they will be open of course. Christmas day closed and normal service resumed on the 26th providng of course, it is not a Sunday. Many boulangeries open on Christmas day morning though.Now that is a bit of a generalisation as I have not lived in all the areas of France (not by a long chalk !) but wherever I have been, that is how it has been.
