Vraititi
PSG till I die -fluctuat nec mergitur.
Hope a good few of you on here will try to watch the forthcoming Lino Ventura special this thursday on France3, 2 great films: 'L'emmerdeur' (1973 -the first film of the still on-going 'Pignon' character saga) with Jacques Brel in one of his last roles (His last ?), that was after he got totally bored with his stage performing life and before he took off on his boat (after he got totally bored with cinema-acting ! -the man was a little restless) for a world tour from which he never came back, anyway, the 2nd film is the classic 'Garde à vue' (1981) with Michel Serrault, a true gem, a splendid face-à-face between 2 exceptional actors. Dick Smith
Is 'Maigret' with Bruno Crémer still on TV5? It was available as a magazine giveaway a few months ago - is it still?
Vraititi
PSG till I die -fluctuat nec mergitur.
You 2, if you're keen on France and keen to practice yr French, get yrselves a proper system, TV5 is obviously limited and you can't seriously carry on watching Maigret merde, c'est pas sérieux ça ! Ask yr local Sat dealer, you can get a system for £300 for all 5 free-to-air channels, even less if you already have an old analogue box (of the PACE kind). Alexis
I like Maigret. The three weeks following the Tour de France, I watched him every afternoon. I had seen them all before except for one but well worth watching.
Vraititi
PSG till I die -fluctuat nec mergitur.
Oui, bon ben c'est pas trop mal pour l'apprentissage de la langue quoi, ça va pas trop vite et c'est pas trop nerveux, ça fleure bon une certaine France disparue. Maigret, the unique Maigret, the only 'top detective' in the world who, in a situation of hyper acute Beslan-style mega-crisis (wife kidnapped 'à l'article de la mort' practically, edgy gangsters at home threatening to blast the whole town, etc.), could come up with that unforgettable one-liner: 'bon, c'est pas le tout ça, il est 8 heures, qu'est-ce qu'on mange ce soir ?'. Priceless. Apologies.
