Mpprh
Plans are in hand to bring the French civil service under control :http://www.fonction-publique.gouv.fr/article619.htmlI wonder if they will ever move to signing letters with " I remain your humble servant" ?Peter
Cjb
Will anyone but the functionnaires themselves be in the slightest bit perturbed by this? One shouldn't underestimate the ongoing frustration that the majority of French people feel about public sector workers, ongoing strikes etc... In my experience they tend to be well aware of the problems but are resigned to things not changing.
Teamedup
Mprrh, it would be a great idea........ but I really do think that you should have changed your flying bird to a flying pig for this one.

Another French paradox, hein? A "revolutionary" people, mon oeil! Ted Stanger, in "Sacrés Français!" came to the conclusion that France got rid of the monarchy and put cradle-to-grave State Control in its place. I liked that book.
