Tony F Dordogne Posted November 29, 2006 Share Posted November 29, 2006 Hi folksFor those among us wanting to know a bit more about French history but not wanting to shell out for the big yellow book ........Historia Thematique (November December 2006) is available from your local Presse for E5,50 - bite sized chunks of French history, nice and easy to read, nothing too outrageously French (like de Gaulle and Tom Hanks taking the Normandie beaches on their own) and quite balanced - they even give the Huguenots/Protestantes a balanced write up.Well worth the money - I've ordered 10 for next year's history school.
