TWINKLE
I have a friend who cannot go to the Michel Polnareff concert on the 13th March at Bercy, Paris. There will be 10 concerts at Bercy in all and they're all sold out. If anyone is interested then pm me.
Teamedup
He was the first french pop star I remember hearing in 1981 and more importantly liking, with big dark white/light framed glasses and curly long hair. His music was always on the local radio station, and the refrain was something like Ay di oh on his most famous song of the time. Thinking about it, I'd love to know what that song was, maybe I should listen to Radio Nostaligie.

BJSLIV
Biography and extracts from a large number of his songs......http://musique.ados.fr/Michel-Polnareff.htmlI was trying to think if there are any UK singers who could make a comeback 34 years on, and sell out a 10 night run 130,000+ tickets, and then embark on a national tour.Oh and they have added two more nights at Bercy..... Clair
I remember that poster and the fact it made the news on tv...For non-French speakers, this is his Wiki entry in English: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michel_Polnareff and a RadioFrance International biography. Christine Animal
Funny thing, I saw on Wikepedia, he was born on the same day as my husband. (I'm a bit younger though! [geek] [:D] ). I remember the poster when we lived in Paris.
