Pip1
Personally I don't think there is very much difference other than the look.On the subject of vegetables France amazes me - everyone in France considers themselves a gourmet and they have the finest markets for fresh vegetables in Europe. BUT when they cook vegetables they often annialate them with overcooking, especially haricot vert which are on a par with the khaki cabbage of yesteryear in England. In addition they hardly ever serve any vegetables with anything. It must be different I thought at a family meal but having eaten with a good friend, they had three courses of meats raised at home - wonderful - and yet virtually no vegetables and he grew fantastic vegetables, salads etc on his farm for selling via the local cooperative.None so queer as folk but it gripes me as they are convinced that we as a nation can barely boil an egg.Pip (19)http://limousinleisure.mysite.freeserve.com
