Foie gras.

I don't eat foie gras much but I'd like to know : what is the difference between:
Foie gras entier
Ballotine de foie gras
Bloc de foie gras
Pate de foie gras

I don't want to embarrass myself at a gathering of our French neighbours and I know there will be some of you that are very knowledgable in these things.!
Thanks in advance.

Entier is the whole liver cooked and packed etc. Then there is the liver in pieces, then the bits left over, then the sweeping's up! Every Christmas they discuss this on the telly and every year I watch and promptly forget. You can judge by the price. If it seems cheap it is probably morceau. Could just fancy a slice........!
