Teamedup Posted October 11, 2004 Share Posted October 11, 2004 No sign of it here in this part of the Rhone Alps as yet, I have taken to looking for it everytime I go into a supermarket.I still like Intermarche's own 'Moulin' brand Farine Complet, not expensive and makes very tasty loaves. Well, I may give it a try, but my cheap and cheerful flour makes wonderful bread, so this stuff would have to be pretty exceptional for me to buy it regularly. I think I worked out that for a bag of flour and a 40g fresh yeast - 35ct. - it cost 1€ a BIG loaf. That can last us a week! Stays fresh too.What with a slice of toast, maybe a bit for his cheese.... Patf Posted October 16, 2004 Share Posted October 16, 2004 We've just had some bread made from the Francine white flour and it was really good so even though the flour was 2.10 euro I'll be buying it again. It is 1.5 kilos instead of the usual 1 kilo. But a big difference in the price I pay for farine complet at the local mill - 2.45 euro for 5 kilos. Pat.
