Foie gras recipe from last year

Thanks Alexis - I looked at that and whilst it looks delicious it also looks far too complicated for a non-cooking moron like me!

The one I'm thinking about involved a microwave and some sort of fruit (?grapes) and was definitely designed for idiots.....

Oh dear.  Can't help you there.  I don't remember seeing that one.  I wonder if it was on the same thread? 

What exactly are you after?  Cold terrine or hot slices with apples or another fruit?  My terrine recipe is easy peasy and goes into a cool over for about 30mins.

Mind you, it is expensive stuff to make a mistake with.

Have you thought of just buying it ready done?  I think I will be going down that route in the future.
