Roasting bags

I have to say that I hate them. Not only do they parboil the meat, you also run the risk of 'plasticisers' being moved from the bags into the food as the bags are subjected to a high heat.

They seemed to go out of fashion in the UK quite a few years ago.

On another topic - but a bit linked. We saw whole legs of pork in LeClerc (?sp) today. I don't think my oven would even take one of those, goodness knows what size of bag would be needed.
