CeeJay
Regarding the note from Sunday Driver about the need to obtain a residence certificate; "The new registration requirement will only apply to persons enteringFrance once the decree setting out the modalities of the process hasbeen published. After that, the right of stay will be dependent uponfulfilling these criteria and obtaining the necessary residencecertificate"Is this in force yet, or still in the legal pipe line? Pickles
Looking at the LegiFrance pages referenced by the vosdroits site referenced by SD's FAQ post, then yes, it appears to be in force. The version on the LegiFrance site says that it is the text in force as of 1st November 2009, and has last been revised on the 29th October 2009.The text still says that you do not HAVE to get a residence certificate (but one will be provided on demand), but that you need to register at your local mairie within 3 months of taking up residence, and failing that then you will at any subsequent point be assumed to have taken up residence no more than three months previously.RegardsPickles
