mooky
I have just bought a tiny bag of this out of curiosity. At least I think they are edible Lupin seeds. I got them from Carrefour. Does anyone know what I do with them, they are dried. Quite a large seed. Not like Lupins back in UK. I obviously have to soak them. Has anyone tried them? chris pp
Feve is French for Broad Bean, normally when they are dried they are for sowing, but I suppose they could be used dried in soups, stews etc, but it's a new one on me.Chris

saddie
I tried the feve dried one time. Never again. I ended up using them for "baking beans" Broad beans are perhaps the vegetable that loses least by being frozen so that is the way I go now.All vrac means is loose. mooky
Broad beans seems a possibility. I have never seen such big Lupin seeds. I believe the protugese eat them as an apperitif. They were with dried beans, lentils. They don't look appetising at all. Thank you for the translation.
suzy
I've never seen them dried, only in jars. I've bought them from Leclerc or Geant. Eaten with aperos in Drome, you pop them out of their skins to eat. My 24 year old's addicted to them ! Sue
