Tony the Turner
There was a thread on this subject earlier but it went off plot. I am convinced that French "demi-ecreme" milk is much creamier that English semi-skimmed. If the full cream milk is creamier then it must follow that half the cream is still creamier than its English equivalent - or is this too simplistic? The stated fat content of Morrison's semi-skimmed is 1.7g per 100g. Will someone please have a look at a French bottle and check as our next visit is not due until the New Year. Deimos
My (Super U) semi-skimmed milk has 1,55g fats per 100ml.Ian
Jc
Tony, now you have got to find out the specific gravity of both semi-skimmed milks so that you can convert from ml.to mg.(and it's not 1.0;if it was, they'd be the same).
Cat
My Leader Price semi skimmed milk doesn't show any information of fat content, but it is UHT treated (as is most milk sold in local supermarkets). I always find that UHT milk has a much sweeter and creamier flavour that fresh milk. Could this be the reason that milk here tastes creamier? pouyade
Thank goodness! Thought it was just me! I find semi skimmed french pasteurised/homogenised fresh milk to be overbearingly rich compared with that I buy in UK. As for long life..................................................ugh.Pouyade
