valB
I have a couple of beef joints in my frezeer but now too warm for a roast dinner. If I slice uncooked what can I do to soften it ready to BBQ it as I normally cook beef for hours in the oven. Any form of marinade I could use prior to putting it the BBQ to help it cook better. Mr Coeur de Lion
Get a kiwi fruit, cut it in half and smother the steaks with it. Always makes the meat tender. And always clean your bbq with beer! Get the bbq up to heat and then pour beer over it and clean with newspaper. It's the best use for French beer too.
powerdesal
Would that be using tabloid or broadsheet?
Mr Coeur de Lion
Depends if you can read or not.
chrisb
Can't help feeling that what you will be able to use it for will depend on what cut the joint is. For example a rolled rib will make some nice ribeye steaks, but something like topside is likely to be too dry - though if you cut it in thin slices you could try flash frying it as sandwich steaks?Or of course you could just roast it then slice it cold for a salad...
