As well as the Asian supermarket, both Carrefour and Leclerc locally sell hoisin sauce and loads of other Asian food ingredients.  I don't know if that is unusual.  Carrefour do Suzi-Wan, Kikkoman and own brand.  Depending where you are they have an online shopping facility.

And if you are anywhere near Bordeaux, there is Eurasi in Bordeaux Lac.  They do Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Singaporean, Indonesian, Thai and I don't know what else because I lots count!

Amazingly, it's not just tinned foods and sauces, it's also fresh stuff like fruit & veg.  How on earth they get them from the other side of the world and still manage to keep the price reasonable, I don't know.
