OT: Chinese Chip Shop Curry

On our last trip to GB we brought back some Chinese Chip Shop Curry.

Just cooked up a chicken curry with it and it was absoluteley deelish - here's the recipe ...

Fry (preferably in some high-in-saturated-fat oil) - chopped onion, diced carrot, mushrooms and breast of chicken. Mix curry sauce with water and boil with other ingredients for a couple of minutes, then serve.

Gourmet tip #1: hold back some of the onions and add to mixture just before serving.

Gourmet tip #2: for best effect, serve with 1/2 rice 1/2 chips.

I'm now sitting here basking in a comfortable glow and giving off a pleasant odour of MSG[:)]

Well no. I know one or two people who can't tolerate MSG (headaches), but it doesn't seem to affect me (in moderation, of course).

The place I bought the curry (Wing Yip's) was reeking with the stuff, I could smell it on my clothes for ages afterwards.

Nice once in a while though.
