Fi
About a 1000 years ago I stayed with a French family in the Vendee. They served up a dish of dried beans (mouget??) which I seem to recall involved about a tonne of butter and lots of garlic. It was very, very delicious. I have been wracking my brains trying to think of what the real name was and how it was cooked. Can anyone shed any light? It was served with sausages (no, not the appalling andouillette) I think.ThanksFi

Fi
Many thanks. The recipe for mogettes jambon looks familiar - I'm sure my hostess used lots more butter though! Fi
woolybanana
You wanna be careful with those beans! Flatulence is the name of the game.

[+o(] Still some things are worth the less than savoury side-effects (but not rhubarb).Fi
