AllezAly
Does anyone out there know what 'Soup Potatoes' are? Are they just what we in the UK would call 'Old Potatoes'?
Suze01
I buy nets of potatoes that are for "four-frites-potage" so I guess it would be those.
Judith
Well they work alright, whatever they are called. Boiled or whatever. I don't see much difference in most of the "old" potatoes sold by whatever name. Perhaps a slight reduction in cooking time, that's all!
Tricia
It depends whether you want them to dissolve and thicken the soup, or stay firm, in chunks. Those for purée go mushy, and I find that the pink skinned ones stay firm. (Don't know the proper names.)
AllezAly
Thanks for all this. I shall stand my ground at the market next time and buy the 'Soup Potatoes'. I shall treat them as King Edwards
