Bugsy
Had an evening meal with neighbours last night, a 'rustic' couple but lovely people. They gave us foi gras and some 20 year-old truffle.[:'(]It was stored in a jar of brandy and didn't look like the most appetizing thing I've ever eaten. Is this normal ?. Cendrillon
If it was in brandy then it would be well pickled. The "rustic" couple presumably live on this sort of thing appetizing or not so my guess is that you will survive. [:)] At least you have thus far survived overnight so perhaps that bodes well. just john
I ''inherited'' a kilner jar of cerise in brandy, lord knows how old, and tried them out, they had absorbed the flavour of the brandy like ''shot bombs'', but I survived![:D]
