YCCMB
As far as your name is concerned, in France your LEGAL name is, and remains, your maiden name, even after you marry, so that's not really such a big deal. In terms of informing someone in France, it's probably worth telling your notaire, but a lot depends on the regime under which you bought the house in the first place. Amending stuff like this could involve you in paying for the amendments to be done, but in the long run (who wants to talk about splitting up or death or stuff with a happy event on the horizon?) it's worth getting everything sorted. Especially if either of you have been married previously and/or have any children with other partners.
