To answer this question, the Council of notaries of the European Union has created a website dedicated to the law of succession in Europe.The site describes the law relating to succession in each of the member states. Citizens are informed about the competent authority and the manner in which the heirs are identified. The site also answers questions relating to international successions: Which law applies?
