mint
If you were told on an invite (one involving maybe a few dozen people) that you will be served "vin ordinaire pour le chabrol et vin de pécision", what would you expect to be given to drink? The main dish will be some sort of game.Thank you. idun
I shall be very interested to hear what others say. I have heard of a chabrol, but frankly I thought you cooked with it?.......... pécision, is it a typo? or maybe not. There must be some knowledgable people on here, I hope. Gemonimo
Chabrol or 'de faire chabrol' is when some wine is poured into the soup bowl, swilled around and then drunk. They do it all the time here and although I don't know it's origins, but my late compagnon did it all the time as did most of his friends and family. As for vin de pecision, well, I haven't got a clue. Enjoy the evening Sweets!
