idun
Not a happy bunny. Decided to make some Pomme Dauphine last weekend and looked up a recipe on french google. Found one that sounded right on a recette site I have used before and duly made the mix. Roll into little balls it said, I should coco, sloppy mess it was. Boiled more taters and seived them and thickened the mix a little and then dropped said mix into the hot oil tea spoon by tea spoon. They tasted 'right', looked right, however, in spite of the extra taters, said mix that was for 4, that with the extra should have made up to 'for 6', only it didn't, I fed four and have another three times that amount of mix left! No idea what to do with all this mix. Not something we eat very often, so actually do not fancy eating any more for a few months. AND I hate waste.Any clever suggestions as to what to do to cook this mix and make it interesting enough to eat now.............. bearing in mind that it is still slightly sloppy and cannot say stuff it.
