meiklejohn
I'm buying a property in Dept 33 and we have a completion date of 8th Nov 2010 as recorded on the compromisIt looks as if we might miss this date by a few days as we had delay on the Mortgage, which thankfully has now been sorted. My question is, is this grounds for the seller to pull out? He has already tried to withdraw previously as I suspect he had a better offer at the last minute. So I'm a little concerned he may use this as an excuse... PaulT
Others more knowledgeable I am sure will comment.Have you spoken to the Notaire and perhaps the Immobilier, the latter having a strong interest as he is waiting for his fee.Best of luckPaul
P-D de Rouffignac
Completion dates can sometimes slip, due for example to the non-arrival of a document from either side. Best to let the Notaire and/or the agency know as soon as possible if there is any likelihood in your case, if only to prevent any inconvenience to the vendor(s) who might be travelling some distance etc. P-D de R. meiklejohn
Seller insisted on using his own Notaire so we are using two notaires. My Notaire is speaking to his Notaire today.

Will
Do tell the notaire(s).Some notaires, as long as they are satisfied that everything will go ahead, and the delay will not be very long, will go ahead with the signing as planned but won't actually complete until that last vital document arrives.
