Russethouse
I'm on page 143 but I find the style a little odd, if I wasn't familiar with some of the characters from other works I think I'd be lost....
woolybanana
Yes, it is rather self-absorbed but I knew the history so was quite at ease. I kept wanting to look again at the film of Thomas More, a Man for All Seasons and books on Cromwell too, just to compare views.
mint
Well, wouldn't you believe it, I haven't read this book but I have recently been reading about Henry VIII and now I am on to Charles I and II. So Cromwell features and all that period is indeed fascinating. No getting rid of the monarch for the Brits for a very long time, methinks?
woolybanana
Have a ferret through the site of History Today; there are some interesting articles on different monarchs and periods.
