terry1956
Hi all, as my other half hates the tail gateing way the french drive, her being on the back and closer to any hit if it should before us as given up motorbikes, I placed my uk regt truimph trophy on e-bay fr and it sold for a good price, I was also looking around the e-bay listings and came across road legal quads, looked up a bit about them and ended up with a polaris with a CG for 2 people, She loves it, and for some reason our french driving partners don,t tail gate near as much, insurrance is 100 euros pa with europe cover as we will tow it behind our motorhome, The only down side I have seen is the amount of interest in it, some not so welcome, But great fun, may even do some off roading.sorry not about bikes but near, PS does anyone know where I can get some carb bolts for my 1969 T120R here in france, or is it a UK buy only.begood and boy am I glad to see the sun out, michael
Framboise
Hello Terry,Hubby has got a Suzuki Raptor Quad. The thing is the most mental, crazed lunatic of a machine ever invented, therefore there is no way I will be getting on it................ ever! I think he has even frightened himself with it too.I cannot believe this thing was road-legal at one time, but it lives in France now where I expect it feels quite at home amongst the maniacs we have seen on their quads going to the boulangerie. It is purely off-road now - softer landings presumeably - unless you happen to impale yourself on a baguette!
terry1956
Hi, yes they are lots of fun, don,t think they uprate the spings for road use, just add lights and so on, mine as a back seat locker with rest so she can,t fall off, just great fun.did just pay out 145 euros to get a new CG thoe, what a pain and a further 14 euros for the number plate, michael
