Devon
I went to the Motopistons Rally last weekend in Santander and had a great few days. I would like to attend something similar in France next year, preferably close-ish to Charente Maritime. Can anyone recommend a good Classic bike show or rally? Sunday Driver
La Tour de France des Motos Anciennes - 60 plus pre-1960 bikes/sidecars, 20 days, 4,500kms. Rest halt and long lunch this year (September) at Cerizay 79140.La Tour Poitou-Charentes des Motos Anciennes - four day rally for classic bikes (September).Bourse Moto de Nantes (October)Bourse Moto de Niort (March)There are also plenty of weekend ride-outs by local classic bike clubs in the area. On Saturday, we played host to the French Royal Enfield Association - 30 bikes from all over France plus a couple from Belgium. We put on a tour of Deux-Sevres including lunch in the Marais Poitevin as well as a visit to a local 90 year old former wartime despatch rider who has a barn full old classic bikes, including the original Royal Enfield he used during the war. Sunday Driver
You'll find most events are listed in the weekly classic bike newspaper La Vie de la Moto, on sale in newsagents and supermarkets.
